TAXASOFT is an MS-DOS package for editing DELTA data files and running DELTA based Taxasoft programs.
A version of TAXASOFT DELTA editor for MS-DOS is available on Internet. This editor
(ddata.exe) is an interface to your DELTA files. Not a normal text editor, but a real
DELTA Data Entry/Maintenance program, that is easy to use. A three dimentional database
like interface which makes it easy to setup and maintain your DELTA files: ITEMS, SPECS
and CHARS. Spread-sheet like edit function for Item data has been added!
It is possible to delete, insert or move around characters, items, and states, without
having to worry about the consistency of the DELTA files.
The TAXASOFT menu makes it possible to start all Taxasoft DELTA programs, like the editor, the program that makes keys for identification, descriptions diagnoses etc., but also a viewer to look at the results (output files).
The software is FREEWARE now, but you need a registration to work with it over the trial period. I can send a license file attached to an email message on request.
The programs and documentation are contained in a self-expanding file, taxasof@.exe. Save taxasof@.exe in the folder C:\TAXASOFT on your MS-DOS/Windows computer, and expand it by entering TAXASOF@ at the DOS prompt. Start the software by typing DDMENU at the DOS prompt.
