Adults. Eyes glabrous; not ciliated.

Hindwings exhibiting vein 5. Vein 5 of the hindwings weak; arising nearer to vein 6 than to vein 4. Posterior tibiae without spines.

British representation. 1 species. Status in Britain vagrant, or adventive, or alien (recorded from E, Cornwall around 1958). South-west England; P. capensis.

Amphipyrinae.
